In the system tray, there will be an icon (looks like iS). On your computer, ensure iTunes and iSyncr are running.Ī. Install the iSyncr desktop app on your PC or Mac. On your Android phone, grab these two apps: White with accent colors, white with reversed accent colors, gray, black, etc. There's also plenty of themes you can download that should fill your desire to have it looking a certain way. There is the occasional hiccup I had with it, so you just close it, unplug, and try again. You can still keep using iTunes as a music player, keep adding music to iTunes, even music bought through iTunes, and that app will sync it to your android phone no problem. You can buy an "unlocker" for $3 that gets rid of ads and unlocks a lot of neat features as well. I found an app called Rocket Media Player, and it's totally free to use, you can download it onto your phone, download another part of it onto your computer, plug your phone into your computer, and a menu should pop up to begin a sync, so it'll do all the work for you. Having the ability to sync music to my phone for offline listening (or no data consumed) is the biggest reason I still use Mac on my primary computer.Īs far as the music aspect goes, I went from an iPhone 4S to my HTC many years ago, and wasn't as technologically inclined then as I am now (I'm still not, but my grasp is way better). On a side note though, Plex with PlexAmp music player is excellent and may soon become my daily driver, especially since it's full support for Linux since I'd like to switch to linux full time. The only issues I've had over the years is because I use autoplaylists in iTunes based on rating and to limit the number of songs that have been played recently, and occassionally iSyncr / Rocket Player fail to track changes to ratings or track plays. These have been a great combo for a long time. ![]() This app integrates with iSyncr to count the plays & track changes to ratings of your music and sync that back to iTunes. On my phone I use Rocket Player to actually play music. This app hooks up to iTunes's XML file to read the music & playlists you have in iTunes, and then can sync to your phone over WiFi. My solution for syncing music (because I love having offline music on my Android phone) has been to install iSyncr on my computer and on my phone.
